There Are So Many Created Uses For Coconut Milk That You Are Guaranteed To Love
Coconut milk is one of those things that can serve multiple purposes in the kitchen. Shortly after deciding to live a plant based lifestyle, I found myself incorporating a lot more coconut milk into my everyday life. This is not to say that the uses for coconut milk solely exist in the realm of veganism and vegetarianism, however, a lot of vegan recipes do use coconut milk. There are an abundance of ways to use coconut milk that I’m not even sure where to begin. If you haven’t figured it out yet, today I am going to be sharing with you all of the ways in which you can use coconut milk. I think the best place to begin our journey is by answering the question, “Can you drink coconut milk?” The short answer is yes. There are many coconut milk uses that are delicious. One of my favorite things to do with coconut milk is to use it to create creamy and decadent drinks. Can you drink canned coconut milk? Well yes, you can. However mixing it in with other things is in my opinion, a better option. Here are a few ways in which you can enrich your life with a splash of coconut milk.

Golden milk, sometimes referred to as a turmeric latte, is a great way to begin your day. Turmeric is an amazing anti-inflammatory making this warm drink a healing one. This drink can be made with a wide array of milks, however creamy coconut milk from a can is my preferred choice. The use of coconut milk in this recipe really creates a rich experience for your taste buds, leaving you feeling warm and calm.

I love blending my coconut milk with a date, cinnamon, and vanilla before placing it on the stove top to heat up. Before pouring it atop my espresso, I use an electric frothier to make it foamy and extra delicious. You must try this out.
Coconut Banana Spice Smoothie
When the warmer seasons come around, I am a sucker for smoothies. I have experimented with many smoothie recipes over the years but seem to always return to my coconut banana spice smoothie. For this recipe, you will need frozen bananas, coconut milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, dates and some almond butter. Blend all of these ingredients together and get ready to fall in love. I swear you will be drinking this smoothie all of the time.

One of the most delicious soups you will ever try is a combination of carrots, ginger and coconut milk. It is so simple to make yet its flavor will leave you speechless. The use of coconut milk in this recipe is to add a layer of creaminess that otherwise wouldn’t exist. Without the coconut milk, this soup would be a ginger and carrot purée, which doesn’t sound nearly as appetizing as a creamy and delicious soup. This recipe is good for the soul.
Coconut Vegetable Chickpea Curry
Curries are one of my favorite meals to whip together when I want to feel satiated and satisfied. Using coconut milk in your curries is a very common thing that many people do. I love using chickpeas alongside an array of veggies in my curries as well.

If you are a cauliflower lover like myself, you have got to try out this recipe. Essentially, you will be roasting an entire head of cauliflower in a creamy coconut milk curry sauce. The longer you let your cauliflower cook in the oven, the softer and more saturated your cauliflower will become thanks to the help of your coconut milk.

In order for this separation to occur, ensure to place your canned full fat Coconut Milk in the fridge for at least 24 hours before using. Add your thick coconut substance to a bowl and whisk until peaks form. Use your Coconut Whipped Cream to top a wide variety of desserts such as hot chocolate, pie or fresh strawberries.

Coconut milk ice cream is another great option. Out of all the bases used in plant based ice creams, those made with coconut milk have been my favorite. The way the coconut milk maintains its creaminess upon being frozen is truly a gift from the universe. Try making some delicious flavor combinations such as banana peanut butter, strawberry shortcake, or chocolate chip cookie dough. Making homemade ice cream is easier than you think. There are a large variety of recipes online, so get researching and pick your favorite one.

Implementing this versatile milk into your diet is a great idea. If you are leading a plant-based diet and are missing some of your favorite creamy dishes, stop missing them today.
