Meat Analogue Companies
Being vegetarian and vegan has never been so exciting. With all of the meat analogue companies on the rise, our options are endless. Have you ever heard of the term ‘meat analogue companies’? This term is synonymous to that of ‘plant-based meat companies’ or ‘meat substitute companies’. Now that you know what a meat analogue company is, let’s talk about some of my favourite plant-based foods from the many top meat substitutes brands and companies that exist today.
One of my favorite companies that make plant-based meat is Yves. Yves Veggie Cuisine is an exciting line that has created a wide range of products to fulfil all of your vegetarian and vegan needs. Some of their products include their ground round, burgers, sausages and even deli slices. My personal favorite Yves product is their veggie ground round. This product is jam-packed with flavor and when paired with tomato sauce, can create the best vegan spaghetti with ‘meat’ sauce you have ever tried. Yves is also very appealing compared to other meat analogue companies because of their affordable prices. I suggest giving their products a try!
Next up on the list of plant-based meat companies is Field Roast. Field Roast, similar to Yves, provides a wide variety of products. Over the years they have come out with some very exciting products such as their various Celebration Roasts, their Fruffalo Wings, and their Miniature Corn Dogs. They do their best to ensure the vegan and vegetarian communities don’t have to feel left out at any social gatherings. My personal favorite product from Field Roast is their Smoked Apple Sage Sausage. This sausage is perfect for that family BBQ or even that Sunday brunch. Filled with flavor, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!
One of the biggest plant-based meat companies, as well as one of the more popular fake meat brands, would be Beyond Meat. Beyond Meat began their journey with their release of the Beyond Meat Burger. Now their company has various products available for purchase such as their meatballs and breakfast sausages. One of their cooler products would be their Beyond Beef as you are able to cook up a myriad of creations with one single product. Unlike Yves, Beyond Meat is definitely one of the more pricey items on the list of meat substitute brands.
In my opinion, one of the best plant-based meat companies would be LightLife. LightLife, similar to the other plant-based meat companies, has various meat alternative products. Bacon, meatballs, and chicken tenders galore, LightLife has it all. My favorite tempeh comes from this company. They offer their tempeh in their original flavor as well as their smoky flavor. Their tempeh is pre-sliced making your time in the kitchen more efficient.
The final company on my list of companies that produce plant-based meat is Daiya. Daiya is one of the plant-based meat alternatives companies known for more than just their meats. In actuality, Daiya gained their popularity thanks to their extensive line of vegan cheeses. Daiya doesn’t actually sell their meat alternative products individually, but they sell products containing them. For example, their Homestyle, Santa Fe and Tuscan Burritos all contain their meatless beef style crumble and their Meatless Pepperoni Style pizza contains meatless bacon style bits as well as meatless pepperoni slices.
The world of companies making plant-based meat is constantly growing. The options are endless which at times can feel overwhelming. I hope this list of meat analogues companies was helpful and informative. I recommend giving all of these companies a try at some point in your vegan journey.
