How To Make A Delicious Indian Sabzi Soya Bean Recipe

How To Make Soya Bean Indian Sabzi
- 3 cups water
- 4 tbsp oil of choice (I use olive)
- 1 cup soya bean granules
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 3 large tomatoes, diced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 2 tsp coriander
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional for garnish)
- Soak and squeeze soya bean granules
Place your soya bean granules in 2 cups of water for 20 minutes and then squeeze in a clean cloth to remove excess water.
- Heat oil
Heat 4 tbsp of oil in your deep pot. Once hot, add in your onions, tomatoes, garlic, and ginger. Allow cooking on medium/high heat until onions are translucent and tomatoes are soft.
- Add spices
Add in your cumin, coriander, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cinnamon, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another three minutes until all spices are evenly dispersed and become fragrant.
- Add-in your granules
Grab your soya bean granules and add them to the pot. Add your 3 cups of water and cover your pot. Allow this to sit on low heat for 30 minutes or until water has been absorbed.
- Garnish and serve
When your dish is ready to serve, plate it and garnish with freshly chopped cilantro. This dish of soya beans and spices pairs perfectly with steamed rice.
