There Are So Many Vegan Soup Recipes Out There, Let Me Introduce You To Them
Vegan soup is probably one of my favorite things to talk about. From the versatility of this dish to the warm and comforting feeling it can bring to you, I love it all. To me, there is something so beautiful about making soup for a loved one or vice versa, a loved one making soup for you. It is the act of providing someone with a warm and delicious bowl of joy that I could relive again and again. Paired with a fresh piece of bread, this is truly one of the best combinations in the world. Soup is also amazing because it can feed many mouths at a low cost. Not only that, but it can be made in advance and saved in the freezer for a rainy or snowy day. There are so many benefits to a good bowl of hearty vegan soup, which is why I am here talking to you today. Over the span of my four years and counting journey of plant-based living, I have stumbled across many vegan vegetable soup recipes that I am dying to share with you. Rather than focussing on one simple recipe, we will focus on three of my favorite recipes. Not only will we focus on vegan soups, but I will also be introducing you to three of my favorite vegan inspirations. We have a lot to talk about today so let’s begin.
Lauren Toyota’s Kale Lentil Soup
The first vegan vegetable soup I am going to be talking about today was created by Lauren Toyota. You may be more familiar with her brand name which is Hot For Food. Lauren Toyota is one of my vegan inspirations as she cooks in an extremely intuitive way, worrying more about flavor and taste rather than only focussing on health. Now, this is not to say that her recipes aren’t healthy, they are, but if a recipe needs a vegan cream added to it, she will add it and if it needs more carbs, she will add those too. And for this, I hold a great amount of respect for her as diet culture is, unfortunately, a societal craze. Any who, a little bit more about Lauren. Lauren is very active on both YouTube and Instagram, so if you ever want to become more involved with vegan influencers, definitely give her a follow. I have tried many of Lauren’s recipes and have never been let down. This is why today I am going to share with you Lauren’s Kale Lentil Soup recipe. This vegan soup is absolutely to die for. It is extremely simple, as well. Prep time takes around 15 minutes and cooking it up takes around 1 hour and 5 minutes. To have a delicious hearty vegetarian soup ready in such a short amount of time is truly a dream. The ingredients for this recipe are also pretty basic and straightforward. You may already have most of these ingredients in your home, and if not, perhaps you have some substitutions instead.
The Korean Vegan’s Lentil Miso Soup
The next vegetable soup vegan recipe I want to introduce to you is one created by The Korean Vegan. The Korean Vegan’s name is Molinaro and she is a Korean American woman from Chicago, Illinois. Molinaro is not only an inspiration for vegans but an inspiration for women, especially women from the BIPOC community. Not only does Molinaro create amazing, delicious dishes, but she spends most of her time practising law. It is so empowering to watch a woman who chooses to be in the kitchen, not because anyone put her there, but because she chose to be there. When she’s not being a powerful attorney, she creates works of nourishing art in the comfort of her home. So, I introduce you to The Korean Vegan today not only because the food she creates is to die for, but because she is a true inspiration to all women. So, let’s continue talking about vegan soup recipes, shall we? This Lentil Miso Soup is truly like no other. I am constantly wondering what I can do with Miso, wondering how I can use it in creative and different ways. Well, this recipe was my answer. This is one of the most hearty vegan soups I have ever had. Once again, the ingredients for this recipe are extremely straight forward. Molinaro has explained in a very straightforward manner just how to create this beautiful dish on your own. In my opinion, this is the perfect meal to cook up on a cold snowy day. Nothing warms the soul and body more than a hot bowl of lentil soup.
Jessica In The Kitchen’s Slow Cooker Mushroom Wild Rice Soup
The last vegan vegetable soup recipe I am going to be introducing to you today was created by Jessica In The Kitchen. Jessica is a multi-talented woman who is an award-winning photographer, videographer and home chef. Her goal is to create simple yet delicious meals that can be passed on from her kitchen to yours. Jessica has created over 600 recipes that are all accessible on her website to anyone who is searching for amazing plant-based meals. Jessica, similarly to the other two women I have spoken about today, is committed to living and leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle. What this means for her recipes and cooking is that she keeps it intuitive in the kitchen. There are no restrictions when it comes to what she creates, in turn providing us with the most delicious and satiating meals. There is nothing more inspiring than watching someone cook whatever they please without worrying about the calories going into it. Food is on this earth to be enjoyed and to nourish us. Having a healthy relationship with food is a very large step on the way to happiness. Now that I have introduced Jessica let’s talk about the final vegan vegetable soup, I will be showing you. Jessica’s Slow Cooker Mushroom Wild Rice Soup is a recipe you do not want to miss out on. This easy vegan vegetable soup is great to prepare in the morning and come home to at night. Unlike the other two recipes, this one does require more time. The prep time for this soup is around 15 minutes and the cooking time is around 4 hours. So as stated before, the perfect soup to come home to after a long busy day. Out of the three soup recipes vegan edition, we talked about today, this one definitely requires the most work. However, it is still completely attainable and worth every ounce of effort put into creating it.
Putting Love Into Food
I want to end this vegan recipes soup edition blog off by taking a moment to talk about the importance of putting love into our food. I guarantee the moment you begin putting love and good energy into the meals you make, the better you will feel. The energy within us is powerful and is passed onto whatever we come in contact with, including the meals we make. Not only this but the more love and positive energy that you welcome into the kitchen, the more and more you will fall in love with cooking. Cooking doesn’t have to be a chore, rather it has the potential to be a great form of meditation and self-love. So, the next time you go to make soup vegan, remember what I have just told you. Soup can be a very sacred meal if the right energy is present in its creation process. Thank you for following along on this vegan recipes soups galore adventure. I loved having you tag along and I hope you gained at least one piece of new information. I hope you try out some of these amazing soups!
